Bubblegum Medicine
So Nate has had the sniffles lately. Just like everyone else in the house. Well, it has progressed to a congested cough and not sleeping at night. He wakes up because he is either coughing or can't breath through his nose. So after a few nights of no sleep for all of us, off to the doctor we went. No ear infection! The doctor said we are lucky since he has had the congestion for about a week. It is all draining in his throat know. The doctor knew he didn't feel good, he never smiled at her. So we left with a go ahead to use a little Motrin at night and amoxicillin. That's the bubblegum medicine! Hopefully he will be back to his old self in a few days!!

6 month check up
So Nate went for his six month check up at the doctor today. Of course he was all smiles. He loves all the attention the nurses give him. He showed off for the doctor. She asked me if he was sitting unsupported yet. Well he can for about 3 seconds and then falls slowly forward. Well she was trying tho get him to sit, but he would not cooperate, he kept digging his heels into the exam table and trying to stand with her balancing him. She just laughed and suggested that if he is that determined now to stand that he very well might have a short or even skip the crawling phase and go straight to pulling up on things. He was a total wiggle worm and when she was checking his boy parts he grabbed the diaper out from underneath himself and swung it around to play with it. The doctor just laughed and re-diapered him as best she could. He talked to her during the entire exam and showed off how he can say "dada". Chris loves this and likes to say that Nate likes him more than me, because he says dada. Anyways! Nate got a clean bill of health. He still is a skinny man. 16 pounds 3 ounces, 25th percentile. And tall, 28 inches 95th percentile. His noggin is right were it should be in the 50th percentile. He has maintained the same curves on the growth charts, so the doctor is not concerned about his weight being on the low end of the chart. He got two shots and the liquid rotavirus vaccine.

The new addition
No we didn't get a new dog, that would be crazy! We have been wanting a deck for the back yard for awhile now. Well, we had the funds and help on hand to get it done. Thanks to Mike, Sandra, Jeff, Katie, and Clint. For all you help with construction and watching Nate. Chris and I are greatful! The deck turned out great and will be awesome to have for this summer. Bar-b-ques at our house! Chris and I are not the only ones loving it. The dogs do too. Check out the sunbathing pups! I know some of the pictures are a little blurry, I was taking them through the glass door, that is dog slobber distorting the picture. I had to sneak up and take pictures, Champ is afraid of the camera. Yes, he hates the camera, but will attack the lawn mower. crazy dog!

Holy crap it is 5:15 am!
So Nate really threw me off the other day. I woke up to my alarm going off at 5:15 AM so I could get to work. Nothing unusual. Well I hit snooze and laid there for a minute and then Chris says...did you get up with the baby last night? No, I didn't, did you? No. Holy crap its 5:15 and he never woke up. I immediately ran and checked on him. He was still sleeping!!! That's right folks...he slept through the night. I totally forgot how refreshing 8 hours of straight sleep is. This all happened about a week ago and hes has occasionally done it since then. I hope this continues! Enjoy the pictures from last weekend at an early Easter celebration at Chris' parents house with some family and friends!
