The Evidence

DropShots.com/aileen328 It took me about ten times to get this video. Every time I would get out the camera he would stop rolling. So much for him making millions as a movie star!

Finally!!!

My little B-rat, as I call him somtimes when the name fits the attitude, rolled over for me!!! He really can do it. I was beginning to worry. He rolled many times today. He is really good from his back to belly, but has only rolled from belly to back once for me. When he is rolling belly to back he tends to get half way on his side and almost gets scared when he starts to"fall" toward his back. He catches himself and stops. We had a wonderful weekend filled with birthdays. With four birthdays in March on Chris' side of the fanily, we decided to celebrate all in one dinner. Thanks to Chris' mom we had a great healthy meal and fun in the sun. It was Nate's first trip down to the lake and he really liked watching Cole throw rocks in the water. He even started to enjoy a little nap in the sun.

My new trick....

So Nate's newest is that he can finally roll over. Or so I am told. He has done it a few times at the babysitter's house, but has yet to do it at home. So I write this blog while my child is laying on the floor playing with his feet and not rolling over. He is just trying to show off for everyone else. He has discovered his feet and LOVES them. He lifts up his legs and sees them and is almost surprised every time at how fun these new things are. Now he is fussing because we aren't paying him as much attention as he would like. But even mad, he isn't rolling over. Oh well, he will do it sooner or later! As for other things in his life...he is loving eating baby food. He scarfs down everything we give him. Rice cereal, peas, green beans, squash, prunes, bananas, sweet potatoes, apple sauce, peaches...these are all thing he likes. The other night he ate one and a quarter containers of baby food and 3 heaping tablespoons of rice cereal. Then I had to give him a small bottle. What a piglet. I just had to quit giving him stuff. He is getting so big we are upping the size of diapers. As you can tell by the pictures the others were getting a little small.

My First SNOW DAY!!!

So I know Nate isn't big enough to really play in the snow, but it was still the first snow since he was born. So we got some cute pics. NO we didn't build the snowman. That was done by Clint, Leslie and Melanie. They let us borrow it to take pictures with. Nate wasn't so sure about it at first...he had to check it out. It was still pretty wet and snowing hard...that is why we used the umbrella. After 4-5 inches of snow at our house it is still around today and the sun is out. Maybe we will go play more today. As far as our other babies (the dogs) go, they were not so much for the snow. When Chris went to let them out to potty and they ran for the back door. Chris opened the door and Tank ran the other way...Chris had to catch him in the kitchen to get him to go out. I must say though they are smart dogs....they didn't want to go out in the slushy, snowy, icy back yard so they all peed on the patio just underneath the eves of the roof. Those snobby dogs couldn't get there paws too cold from the snow. Unfortunately they must go into the snow to poop. For now here are the pictures we got yesterday. And thanks to Auntie Becca for the crazy little fleece lined crocs she got for Nate when he was born. They finally came in handy and fit!!!

My big boy and his new toy!

So Nate had his four month check up this week. All is well with him no health problems. The doctor informed me of why the little man's clothes don't fit. He weighs 14 pounds (25th percentile) and is 26.5 inches long (90th percentile). So pretty much he is one tall skinny string bean! I have learned to shop around for pants for him. If they fit in the waist, then they are too short. If they are long enough, they fall off his skinny booty! Anyways he is doing great and I got the go ahead for baby food. Well Nate's Nanna was there and knew that I had already started some baby food and that I told a little fib to the doctor and said that I hadn't started it. Thanks to Nanna for not calling me out! Nate now gets two extra meals a day. Rice cereal and a fruit in the morning and cereal and a veggie at night. He loves prunes, bananas and green beans. He is not so much for squash though. He gagged terribly when we tried that one. Maybe we will give it a go another time. What was to funny during his exam the doctor has to check his hips so she holds his legs/thighs and rotates his hips. Well apparently this is hysterical to Nate and he cracked up laughing. Not a little chuckle, a full on laugh. The doctor thought this was funny too, most kids don't like that part of the exam. So she continued on in the exam and then said for fun I want to do his hips again to see what he does...laughing again. He was the best through the whole thing. Then came the shots....and the screaming begins. He was really good. I held him for about a minute and gave him a paci and it was over. What a tough guy! Well that night when Chris got home we rewarded Nate for such a good check up. We put together his exersaucer. He was a little overwhelmed with all the goings on of all the toys at first, but then really got into it. Now he loves it!! What a big boy sitting up in the seat. Now I have a new thing to occupy him while I try to get things done around the house!
