My big boy and his new toy!

So Nate had his four month check up this week. All is well with him no health problems. The doctor informed me of why the little man's clothes don't fit. He weighs 14 pounds (25th percentile) and is 26.5 inches long (90th percentile). So pretty much he is one tall skinny string bean! I have learned to shop around for pants for him. If they fit in the waist, then they are too short. If they are long enough, they fall off his skinny booty! Anyways he is doing great and I got the go ahead for baby food. Well Nate's Nanna was there and knew that I had already started some baby food and that I told a little fib to the doctor and said that I hadn't started it. Thanks to Nanna for not calling me out! Nate now gets two extra meals a day. Rice cereal and a fruit in the morning and cereal and a veggie at night. He loves prunes, bananas and green beans. He is not so much for squash though. He gagged terribly when we tried that one. Maybe we will give it a go another time. What was to funny during his exam the doctor has to check his hips so she holds his legs/thighs and rotates his hips. Well apparently this is hysterical to Nate and he cracked up laughing. Not a little chuckle, a full on laugh. The doctor thought this was funny too, most kids don't like that part of the exam. So she continued on in the exam and then said for fun I want to do his hips again to see what he does...laughing again. He was the best through the whole thing. Then came the shots....and the screaming begins. He was really good. I held him for about a minute and gave him a paci and it was over. What a tough guy! Well that night when Chris got home we rewarded Nate for such a good check up. We put together his exersaucer. He was a little overwhelmed with all the goings on of all the toys at first, but then really got into it. Now he loves it!! What a big boy sitting up in the seat. Now I have a new thing to occupy him while I try to get things done around the house!
